Born in Naples, Maradona Jr. holds Italian-Argentine citizenship. As a player, he played for various low-tier Italian clubs. After concluding his professional playing career, he transitioned into coaching, with his last position being at the Italian club Montecalcio.
Ibarra is located in the Canary Islands and competes in Spain's third tier. Currently, the team sits in 14th place in Group 12 of the Tercera Division, having accumulated only seven points. In their next match, Ibarra will face Arucas on October 26.
