As expected by fans and experts alike, Manchester United has finally fired Ole Solskjaer. The 1-4 loss to Watford served as the nail in the coffin as a tumultuous season for Ole continued. Manchester United has lost four of the last five games and despite acquiring Cristiano Ronaldo, the squad has struggled to make any headways.
There are reports that United is pursuing Zidane, however, the issues seem to stretch beyond any coach as some players like Pogba also look highly unhappy. Michael Carrick will take charge of the team until United finds a replacement.
It is with regret that we have reached this difficult decision. While the past few weeks have been disappointing, they should not obscure all the work he has done over the past three years to rebuild the foundations for long-term success. Ole leaves with our sincerest thanks for his tireless efforts as manager and our very best wishes for the future.
