Before the FA Cup final last season against Manchester City (which ended 2-1), the management of Manchester United canceled traditional employee perks that included free travel, meals, and accommodation.
This was reported by The Athletic.
Employees had to cover their own bus fare to Wembley Stadium, which cost £20 per ticket. The club did not provide any additional services other than the match ticket.
According to sources, team captain Bruno Fernandes was surprised by the management's decision and offered to cover all extra expenses for the staff related to the trip to the final; however, his offer was declined.
The Red Devils are currently in 13th place in the English Premier League standings with 22 points.
Earlier, it was reported that rodents were discovered at the club's Old Trafford stadium.
