Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, whose current contract with the club runs until next summer, plans to renegotiate his deal on more favorable terms, according to El Nacional.

Sources reveal that Lunin thinks highly of his own performances for Real Madrid this season, especially now as clubs like Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Milan show interest in him.

However, he understands that he will likely return to the bench once Thibaut Courtois recovers from injury. Therefore, the Ukrainian requested from the Madrid club to increase his salary to a level close to what the Belgian earns.

Real Madrid, however, is not inclined to meet Lunin's financial demands as they consider it too high for a backup goalkeeper. The club is willing to offer Lunin a raise, but a more modest one.

It is worth noting that the aforementioned clubs are offering Lunin more than what Real Madrid is willing to pay him under the new contract.

This season, Lunin kept 12 clean sheets in Real Madrid's matches, conceding 25 goals in the other 16 games. The Transfermarkt values the 25-year-old goalkeeper at 16 million euros.

Earlier, Lunin refused to extend his contract with Real Madrid.
