The prosecutor's office in the French city of Nanterre has issued an indictment against Moroccan PSG defender Achraf Hakimi, L'Equipe reports.
According to the source, the 24-year-old footballer was questioned. The court charged the athlete and took his case under judicial control.
Earlier, a young woman had accused Hakimi of rape. According to the victim, the incident occurred in late February. The player's lawyer stated that the accusations against his client were false. The club also supported the player. For her part, Hakimi's wife has initiated divorce proceedings, according to media reports.
Hakimi has played 31 matches for PSG this season, scoring four goals and providing five assists.
