According to the Egyptian newspaper Masrawy, English club Liverpool has begun discussions regarding a new contract for forward Mohamed Salah after the news of a potential departure of defender Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Earlier reports suggested that Trent Alexander-Arnold has reached an agreement with Real Madrid to join as a free agent. According to sources, Liverpool's management has extended an attractive contract offer to Mohamed Salah, and negotiations are in progress.
Salah's current contract with the Reds runs until the end of June 2025.
This season, Mohamed Salah has played in 43 matches for Liverpool across all competitions, scoring 32 goals and providing 22 assists.
