The Telegraph newspaper has revealed another contender for the position of head coach at English Premier League (EPL) club Liverpool. The candidate is 36-year-old German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann.
The manager of the German national team, who will also lead the team in the upcoming Euro 2024, is being considered as an alternative to Bayer's head coach, Xabi Alonso. Moreover, among the candidates for the Reds' coaching position is Ruben Amorim, currently managing Sporting Lisbon, as reported earlier.
On January 26, Klopp announced in an interview with Liverpool's press office that he will leave the club at the end of the 2023/2024 season.
The German specialist has been at the helm of the Merseyside club since 2015. Under his guidance, the Reds have won the Champions League, reached the final three times, claimed the long-awaited Premier League title in 2020, as well as the FA Cup, the EFL Cup, the FA Community Shield, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup. In the current season, Liverpool tops the EPL table with 60 points from 25 matches.
