Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe will be sidelined for up to three weeks due to a biceps femoris injury. This was reported by The Athletic, citing sources from the Spanish team.
The French player sustained the injury during the 7th round of La Liga against Alaves, a match that ended with a 3-2 victory for Real Madrid. In that game, Mbappe managed to score a goal but requested a substitution in the 80th minute.
After seven rounds, Real Madrid currently sits in second place in the La Liga table with 17 points. The leaders of the Spanish championship are Barcelona, with 18 points.
Previously, Mbappe matched an impressive achievement by Karim Benzema while playing for Real Madrid.
