Midfielder for Real Madrid and the German national team Toni Kroos has revealed his plans after retiring from his professional football career.
Kroos stated that he will continue hosting a podcast with his brother Felix and work at the Real Madrid academy. He also mentioned the upcoming launch of the Icon League in September.
The player was quoted as saying by AS:
But it is also clear that I am not going to get involved in 18 projects now to be as busy as when I was an active player.
On May 21, the 34-year-old Kroos announced that he would not renew his contract with Real Madrid and would retire after the 2024 European Championship. He expressed his desire not to spend his final years in football on the bench.
Kroos has won the Champions League four times with Real Madrid, as well as four La Liga titles, the Spanish Super Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup. He has previously played for Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen.
The midfielder has played 108 matches and scored 17 goals with the German national team.
