Italian club Juventus will not pay their former forward Cristiano Ronaldo the salary he was entitled to during the coronavirus pandemic, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
Juventus and Ronaldo agreed to freeze the funds during the quarantine. However, the parties failed to reach an agreement during the Italian Football Federation's (FIGC) arbitration board hearing on October 4. Juventus refuses to pay the funds not accounted for in the financial documents.
The matter in question is €19.9 million. The final decision will be made within a month.
The striker played in the Italian team from 2018 to 2021. In total, he spent 134 matches for the Old Lady, scored 101 goals and made 22 goal assists.
