Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will participate in a farewell match for ex-Borussia Dortmund players Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski, as confirmed by the club's press service.
The teams fielded by Piszczek and Blaszczykowski are set to meet on the field on September 7. The match will take place at Borussia's home stadium, Signal Iduna Park, and Klopp will coach one of the teams.
The 57-year-old manager joked in a video released by Borussia:
I do it like I used to, I start thinking about it five minutes beforehand.
This summer, Klopp ended his tenure at Liverpool, where he managed since 2015. Prior to that, he coached Borussia Dortmund from 2008 to 2015, a period during which Piszczek and Blaszczykowski were part of the team.
It was previously reported that the German declined to lead the U.S. national team, stating he no longer wishes to take on coaching roles.
