Jiří Jarošík, former player of Zaragoza and Alaves, told Telecomasia.net in an exclusive interview which team he thinks is the strongest in the history of football.
- What was Barcelona's style of play from the point of view of a central defender?
- I am still convinced that they were the strongest team in history. They were hungry for victories, the age of the players was perfect. There were games where it was easier to play against Barcelona or Real Madrid than in open football. The defense is tight, everyone is close together. While the Barça players control the ball, you move left and right.
- It sounds so simple.
- It's not complicated, you just play for 85 minutes without the ball (laughs). I often blocked Ibrahimović, and Zlatan could go 15 minutes without the ball, which made him very angry. Then suddenly he scores. I remember talking to Ibra and he told me straight out that he wasn't happy with the way Barcelona's whole game was built around Messi.
Ibrahimović played for Barcelona from 2009 to 2010. He made 46 appearances for the Catalan club, scoring 22 goals and winning the Spanish championship with the Blaugrana.
