Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi has announced that defender Milan Škriniar, who will leave the team at the end of the 2022/23 season, will no longer be the club's captain.

Earlier, it was reported that Škriniar, whose contract with Inter is about to expire, had signed a preliminary contract with PSG.

"I do not judge his choice. Milan is a unique man and a player who has done a great job since I came to the club. But after what happened, Škriniar will no longer be team captain. Handanović is our captain," La Gazzetta dello Sport quoted Inzaghi as saying.

Škriniar has made 27 appearances in all competitions for Inter this season, registering one assist. The 27-year-old Slovakian is valued at €60 million by Transfermarkt.
