According to Tuttosport, 27-year-old Italian winger Federico Chiesa from Liverpool may return to Serie A after leaving Italy six months ago.
The source reports that Inter Milan are interested in the player, with club president Giuseppe Marotta personally keen on securing his signing. It is suggested that the deal would be a loan until the end of the season, during which Liverpool would continue to pay part of Chiesa's salary.
Liverpool are reportedly open to loaning out the 27-year-old player in January when the winter transfer window opens. This decision comes as Chiesa has rarely featured on the pitch due to physical issues.
In the current season, Chiesa has played only three matches for Liverpool across all competitions, contributing one assist. He joined the English club in August and signed a contract that runs until June 2028. Chiesa is eatimated at €30 million by Transfermarkt.
Inter Milan are currently in fourth place in the Serie A standings with 25 points after 12 matches. Napoli lead the league with 26 points.
Earlier, Inter Milan extended the contract of their head coach, Simone Inzaghi, until the end of June 2026. Additionally, the Nerazzurri shared points with Napoli in their 12th Serie A match.
