Argentinian forward Lionel Messi made an appearance before Inter Miami fans during a ceremony celebrating his 45th career trophy while wearing a special brace on his right leg.
Messi sustained an injury during the second half of the Copa America 2024 final against Colombia (which Argentina won 1-0). After sustaining the injury, he was substituted and was seen crying on the bench.
The plastic brace restricts movement in his injured ankle but does not prevent Messi from moving around without assistance.
It’s worth noting that before the MLS match against Chicago Fire (which ended 2-1), Inter Miami held a special ceremony to honor their captain, Messi, for achieving his 45th title in his career.
