Former striker of Barcelona, Milan, PSG, Manchester United and the Swedish national team Zlatan Ibrahimovic shared his feelings about his decision to end his career.

Recall, 42-year-old Ibrahimovic announced the end of his football career in the summer of 2023. At the moment the former footballer is on the board of directors of Milan, June 8, 2024 the striker will make his last appearance for the Swedish national team in a friendly match with Serbia.

Ibrahimovic is quoted by Football Italia with reference to the podcast ABTalks:

I accepted stopping playing football which was a difficult thing because of my ego, because of the way I think about myself. I think I'm the best, I'm still the best, I could continue, but I chose to stop. Why? Because I want a good life for my family.
