Manchester City forward Erling Haaland scored another hat-trick in the 21st round of the English Premier League, the fastest in English football history, moving up to the 25-goal mark.
The 22-year-old Norwegian scored a hat-trick in a game against Wolverhampton (3-0) on 22 January, his fourth hat-trick since joining the Citizens. According to Opta Sport, Haaland played 19 games. To compare, the previous record holder, former Manchester United forward Ruud van Nistelrooy, needed 65 matches for four hat-tricks in the EPL.
In addition, the Norwegian City striker reached the 25-goal mark in the EPL 2022/2023 season. As mentioned above, it took Holland 19 games to do so, and the former record holder forward Kevin Phillips played 26 games to achieve this result.
At the moment, Haaland leads with a large margin in the race of scorers this season in the EPL. His closest pursuer, Tottenham forward Harry Kane, has 15 goals, and Brentford striker Ivan Toney has 13.
