Manchester City and RB Leipzig have agreed on the transfer of defender Joško Gvardiol. The deal will make the Croatian the most expensive defender in the history of football.
According to Bild, the clubs have come to an agreement on the transfer of the player. The transfer will amount to €90 million, which is the most expensive transfer in history among defense players. Also, a friendly match will be arranged between the two clubs, and the German club will receive another €1.5 million from participation in the match.
Gvardiol is a graduate of Dinamo Zagreb, where he won the Croatian Cup and was a two-time champion of the country. He joined RB Leipzig in 2020. As part of the Red Bulls, he became a two-time German Cup winner.
