The head coach of the England national team Gareth Southgate has made history by becoming the first coach in football history to lose two Euro finals in a row with his team.
On July 14, the Three Lions were defeated by the Spanish national team with a score of 2-1 in the final match of the 2024 European Championship. The match took place in Berlin at the Olympic Stadium. The only goal for the British team was scored by midfielder Cole Palmer in the 73rd minute.
The 53-year-old coach also led the England team during the 2020 European Championship, where they lost to the Italian national team in the deciding match (1-1 in regular time and 2-3 in a penalty shootout).
