According to Get French Football News, citing journalist Romain Molina, players in the French national team are tired of working under Didier Deschamps and would prefer Zinedine Zidane to take over as head coach.
The source reports that Les Bleus players are increasingly expressing their frustration with the 56-year-old coach and are voicing the opinion that Zinedine Zidane would be a better leader for the national team.
It is noted that the French Football Federation fully trusts Deschamps and wants him to continue until at least the end of the 2026 World Cup. However, federation officials see Zidane as a perfect replacement.
Deschamps has led the national team since 2012, guiding them to victory in the 2018 World Cup and the UEFA Nations League in 2021.
Zinedine Zidane's last position was with Real Madrid, which he left in the summer of 2021. During his tenure, he won 11 trophies, including three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles (2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18).
Previously, Didier Deschamps did not call up Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe for the upcoming national team camp in November.
Previously, L’Equipe reported that Zinedine Zidane declined an offer to manage the Algerian national team.
