Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo topped the ranking of the best midfielders of the 2000s according to FourFourTwo.
At the beginning of his career, the future champion of Euro 2016 and five-time winner of the Ballon d'Or played at the position of winger and switched to striker in the 2010s.
French football legend Zinedine Zidane took the second place in the list, Brazilian Kaka rounded out the top three.
