Newcastle veteran, top scorer in the history of the English Premier League (EPL), and football analyst Alan Shearer has commented on rumors of Tottenham forward Harry Kane's possible transfer to Bayern.
On June 28, journalist Ben Jacobs reported that the Munich club is preparing an offer for the Spurs to transfer the 29-year-old striker. The deal could amount to €93 million, including bonuses.
According to Shearer, 52, he is ready to personally accompany Kane to the German championship in order to protect his record for the number of goals scored in EPL matches. The former Newcastle player scored 260 goals, the current Lilywhites striker scored 213 so far.
If Harry wants to join Bayern, I'll drive his f****** car there myself; anything to protect my Premier League goal record of 260 - Harry is on 213. In truth, any hope there is probably forlorn. Harry is nearly 30, but he looks after himself, he's steered clear of major injuries and he's perfectly capable of coming back to England in a couple of years' time and banging in enough goals to overtake me. Still, though. Give me the keys and a sat nav and off I'll go…

Kane played 38 games in the EPL 2022/2023 season in which he scored 30 goals, becoming second in the scorer's race (after Manchester City's Erling Haaland), and made three assists.
