Manchester City intends to offer forward Phil Foden a new contract after the end of Euro 2024, making him the highest-paid player in the English Premier League.
As reported by The Sun, the club wants to increase Foden's salary from €235,000 to €441,000 per week. This would make the 24-year-old footballer's salary comparable to his teammates - forward Erling Haaland and attacking midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.
Foden is a graduate of Manchester City's academy. His debut in the club's senior team took place in November 2017. The forward scored 26 goals and provided 13 assists in 48 games across all competitions in the 2023/2024 season, earning 39 points.
Earlier, the English Premier League recognized Foden as the best player of the 2023/2024 season.
