The Times reported that fans in crusader costumes won't be allowed to enter the stadiums of the World Cup in Qatar because of the offensive context against Muslims.

According to the source, fans wearing chainmail and shields depicting the cross of St. George won't be allowed into World Cup 2022 arenas, particularly the Group B second-round match between England and the United States.

"Crusader costumes in an Arab context may be offensive to Muslims," FIFA said.

The anti-discrimination group Kick It Out urged fans not to use costumes that recall medieval religious wars.
