As previously reported by Metaratings.ru, Lokomotiv striker Fedor Smolov could leave the team as early as winter, despite having a contract in place until the end of summer 2022.
Earlier, the head of Gold Star agency Dan Milstein, who represents Smolov's interests in the United States, told that Smolov's priority option is a move to one of the American MLS clubs.
According to our information, if Lokomotiv receive a transfer offer for the forward in winter, they are ready to consider it. The club expects to make three million euros from the sale of Smolov.
Smolov does not suit Lokomotiv head coach Markus Gisdol. To replace the Russian national team striker, Lokomotiv intend to acquire a younger striker capable of more work. According to Metaratings.ru, the club's shortlist includes Krylia Sovetov forward Ivan Sergeyev and Ufa striker Gamid Agalarov.
