Liverpool has reached an agreement for personal terms with Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili of the Spanish club Valencia, according to reputed insider Fabrizio Romano on social media.

Romano reported that discussions between Valencia and Liverpool regarding Mamardashvili's transfer are ongoing, but no deal has been finalized yet. The club is expected to pay around 30 million euros for the goalkeeper.

Mamardashvili is under contract with Valencia until the summer of 2027. Last season, he played 32 matches, keeping 12 clean sheets while conceding 34 goals in the others. Transfermarkt values Mamardashvili at 45 million euros.

At Euro 2024, Giorgi Mamardashvili made 30 saves, nearly matching the record set by former Russian national team goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, who had 32 saves at Euro 2008.

It is noteworthy that Giorgi Mamardashvili is considered the most appreciated goalkeeper in terms of value by Transfermarkt.
