The English Football Association (FA) brought charges against the head coach of Liverpool Jurgen Klopp because of his comments about Paul Tierney, the referee in the 34th round of the English Premier League (EPL) match with Tottenham, according to the press service of the organization.
The meeting took place on April 30 at the home arena of Merseyside and ended with a score of 4-3 in favor of the hosts. Liverpool snatched the victory in the penalty shootout.
In an interview after the game, Klopp criticized Tierney's work. It was reported that the FA will conduct an investigation into the German specialist's remarks.
On May 2, Klopp was charged with "inappropriate behavior". The coach has until May 5 to explain his words.
