Iranian and British businessman Farhad Moshiri has decided to sell the English Premier League (EPL) club Everton, which he has owned since 2016.
The Liverpool club is expected to be sold for around €570 million. Moshiri wants to pay off the construction of the club's new stadium.
In the current EPL season, Everton is in 19th place in the standings with 15 points in 20 games. In the last match of the championship, the Toffees lost to West Ham (0-2), which led to the resignation of the team's head coach Frank Lampard.
Earlier, Sport24 reported that Everton and Lampard personally are interested in buying Russian goalkeeper Nikita Haikin.
