Former England national team coach Sven-Göran Eriksson has shared a heartfelt message in a documentary about his life. In January, the 76-year-old Swede revealed that he has been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer.

Eriksson expressed that he has lived a good life and acknowledged that there is no cure for his condition. He emphasized that everyone fears the day their life ends but added that death is a part of life, and it must be accepted.

Eriksson said, as quoted by Aftonbladet:

I hope you will remember me as a positive guy trying to do everything he could do. Don’t be sorry, smile. Thank you for everything, coaches, players, the crowds, it’s been fantastic. Take care of yourself and take care of your life. And live it. Bye.

His last position was as the sports director for Swedish club Karlstad. Over his career, Eriksson has managed teams like Roma, Fiorentina, Benfica, Sampdoria, Lazio, the England national team, Manchester City, Leicester, and the national teams of Mexico, Ivory Coast, and the Philippines.
