The English Premier League (EPL) has accused Manchester City of numerous financial fair play violations, according to The Times journalist Martin Ziegler on Twitter.
A four-year investigation reportedly found that the Citizens violated financial fair play rules from the 2009/2010 season through the 2017/2018 season.
It is noted that if found guilty, Manchester City faces several penalties, including the withdrawal of points.
Since 2009, Manchester City has won the EPL championship six times. This season, the team is second in the standings with 45 points. London's Arsenal is currently leading the EPL with 50 points.
