Luis Enrique, head coach of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), confessed that he would not want to coach the French team if it included Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar.
Enrique told Marca:
I wouldn't have coached Messi, Neymar and Mbappe's PSG. If only the team with the best player in the world won titles, PSG would have eight Champions League titles, and they have zero.
Messi played for PSG from 2021 to 2023, appearing in 75 matches, scoring 32 goals, and providing 35 assists. With the Parisian club, the Argentine won the French league title twice and the Supercup once. He is currently playing for Inter Miami in MLS.
Mbappe played for PSG from 2018 to 2024, featuring in 308 matches, scoring 256 goals, and contributing 108 assists. Together with the Paris club, he won the French league six times and lifted the Cup four times and the Supercup three times. He is currently playing for Real Madrid.
Neymar was with PSG from 2017 to 2022, participating in 173 matches, scoring 118 goals, and providing 77 assists. While at PSG, he won the French league title five times, as well as the Cup three times and the Supercup four times. He now plays for Al Hilal in the Saudi Arabian league.
In other news, Kylian Mbappe's mother has stated that the player intends to sue PSG if the Paris club does not pay the salary debts.
