According to Sky Sport Italia, the Cameroonian Football Federation (Fecafoot) has prevented 62 players from participating in the playoffs of the local championship, accused of hiding their real age.
The disqualification affected 15 clubs, with one team losing 13 players.
Among those suspended is 17-year-old Cameroonian Wilfried Nathan Douala. The footballer participated in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and became the youngest player of the tournament, but now the federation considers his birth date of May 15, 2006 to be false. Victoria United, for whom Douala played, lost seven players overall.
