According to Diario Sport, Lille's goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier is being considered as a potential addition to FC Barcelona in the summer of 2025.
The 22-year-old keeper from Lille and the French youth national team is believed to be a good fit for the Catalan club, which has already taken initial steps to explore the details of a potential transfer. Following an injury to their starting goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen and uncertainties surrounding backup goalkeeper Iñaki Peña, Barcelona have intensified their focus on the goalkeeper market.
In the 2024/2025 season, Chevalier has played ten matches in Ligue 1 (conceding nine goals and recording five clean sheets) and seven matches in the UEFA Champions League (conceding seven goals and achieving two clean sheets). His contract with the French club runs until the end of June 2027, and his market value is estimated at 25 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.
On October 31, Sport.es reported concerns within the Barcelona management due to financial difficulties, which raised fears about the possibility of not registering midfielder Dani Olmo for the second half of the 2024/2025 season.
