The diagnosis for Jeff Reine-Adelaide, the French midfielder of Molenbeek, who lost consciousness during a match in the Belgian championship against Charleroi (1:3), has been revealed.
According to reports, the medical examination indicated that Reine-Adelaide suffered a concussion but avoided any brain hemorrhage. His vertebrae did not shift after the head impact; however, the footballer will miss the remainder of the season.
Recall that the incident occurred yesterday, on May 5, towards the end of the first half. After a strong kick from an opponent, the ball struck the 26-year-old defender in the head. The footballer was unconscious for about ten minutes before being carried away on a stretcher and hospitalized.
