French national team head coach Didier Deschamps commented on the situation involving forward Kylian Mbappe, who was spotted at a nightclub during France's match against Israel, which ended in a 4-1 victory for the French team.
Mbappe was unable to join the national team in October due to his decision to continue treatment for an injury.
Deschamps said, as reported by RMC Sport via Telefoot:
I don't keep track of the news regarding players who are not in the squad.
The coach clarified that Mbappe is undergoing rehabilitation under the guidance of Real Madrid. He added that he is unsure if the forward was in the club during the match.
France's next match in the group stage of the UEFA Nations League is set for October 14 at 21:45 GMT+3, against Belgium.
Earlier, Mbappe informed the coaching staff of the French national team that he intends to participate only in important matches for the national team, focusing on his club career instead.
