The head coach of the French national team Didier Deschamps commented on the current form of striker Kylian Mbappe.
Deschamps told RMC Sport:
Even if he's not 100%, I know very well that for the opponent, knowing he's playing makes them think and forces them to adapt. Don't you think he has already made enough history, with what he has done so far? He wants to make even more history.
The forward has scored a goal and provided an assist in four games of the tournament. Mbappe became a world champion in 2018 with the French national team and also won silver medals in the 2022 tournament. He also won the UEFA Nations League in the 2020/21 season, but has never won the European Championship with the team.
Mbappe expressed hope that he can help his team in the semifinal match of Euro 2024 against Spain.
