Denmark's national team head coach Kasper Hjulmand revealed which national team serves as an example for him in terms of performances at major international tournaments.
Hjulmand's words were quoted by the UEFA press service:
Our ambition is to rub shoulders with the big teams – we’re collaborating with teams to create better players, and sometimes we get to semi-finals, sometimes we don’t. Croatia have had a great few years, and that’s where we want to be.
On June 29, in Dortmund, the Round of 16 match of Euro 2024 concluded with Denmark falling to the host team Germany by a score of 0-2.
After his team's exit from Euro 2024, Hjulmand criticized the referee team that officiated the match against Germany, noting the work of the video assistants who advised the main referee to cancel a goal for the Danish team.
