Dutch De Telegraaf journalist Jeroen Kapteijns has commented on the decision of the Amsterdam court to sentence Spartak Moscow footballer Quincy Promes to six years in prison in the drug smuggling case.

According to the version of the court, Promes played a "decisive role" in the smuggling of two shipments of cocaine that arrived in Antwerp port in January 2020. Quincy himself was not present at the sessions of the court, the prosecutor's office of the Netherlands failed to get him extradited.
