Former Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea may continue his career in Saudi Arabia, reported the Daily Mail.

According to the British media, the 33-year-old goalkeeper is in talks with Al-Shabab from the Pro League. The club's management expects to sign a contract with him in the near future.

De Gea played for Manchester United for the last 12 years and spent 545 matches in the team, conceding 590 goals and keeping a clean sheet 190 times. The Spanish goalkeeper is a free agent in the 2023/24 season.

Al-Shabab is in 11th place in the Saudi Arabian league standings after 19 matches this season with 21 points.

Earlier it was reported that Jose Mourinho may become the new coach of Al-Shabab. Then it was announced that the Portuguese specialist will not coach the Saudi club.
