Dani Olmo, the Spanish midfielder for Bundesliga club RB Leipzig and the Spain national team, shared with Telecom Asia Sport his impressions of the first match of Spain in the World Cup 2022 against Costa Rica.

For us it was important to start with a victory. Of course, there was some pressure, because not all the teams started well in this tournament. We studied the opponent well; we knew their strengths and weaknesses...We didn't think we'd score so much, but it's always nice to score. There were many chances, and fortunately, we've used them. We will continue to work, because there are still difficult games ahead... We've played only the first game and we need to go step by step from here.
