Former Barcelona and Brazilian national team defender Dani Alves has agreed to a deal with the prosecution in his alleged sexual assault case.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Alves has changed the team of lawyers representing him and also reached an agreement with the Spanish justice system to minimize his time in prison. The Brazilian now faces between 8 and 10 years in prison.
Recall, the former defender of Barcelona and the Brazilian national team has been in custody since January 20 this year, as he is an accused in sexual assault. Because of this, Mexican Pumas terminated the contract with the Brazilian during the time of the charges.
Earlier, the side of the footballer refused to fight his criminal charge and the player said that he forgives the girl who filed a report on him.
