Cristiano Ronaldo, the 39-year-old forward for Saudi club Al-Nassr, has revealed what keeps him motivated to continue playing professional football.
Ronaldo said on his YouTube channel:
When I receive trophies, I'm always thinking about my family, especially my kids. They still see daddy receive awards and they still see the daddy score goals and play football. For me, it's amazing. It's my motivation to carry on to play.
Ronaldo has been with Al-Nassr since January 2023. He has participated in 70 matches for the Saudi club, scoring 63 goals and providing 17 assists. The Portuguese star's contract with the club runs until the end of June 2025, and his transfer market value is estimated at 15 million euros according to Transfermarkt.
Throughout his career, the 39-year-old has also played for Sporting, Manchester United, Juventus, and Real Madrid.
Earlier, Ronaldo made history by becoming the first player to score against 48 national teams.
Additionally, the Portuguese player became the first footballer to score 900 goals at the professional level.
