Cristiano Ronaldo, forward for the Portuguese national team and Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, shared his thoughts on the possibility of participating in the 2026 World Cup.
Ronaldo said, as reported by Bolavip:
I feel good, almost good. But it’s 2026, and I can’t answer that question. The moment is good, and I’m living in the moment, which is very positive. We are trying to do well in the Nations League. But 2026? There's a long story in between.
It should be noted that the 2026 World Cup will be held across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
Currently, Argentina is the reigning World Cup champion, having defeated France in the final via a penalty shootout. In the previous World Cup, Portugal lost to Morocco 0-1 in the quarterfinals.
On September 2, it was announced that Ronaldo has been called up to the national team for the Nations League matches. Previously, he spoke about his vision for concluding his career with the Portuguese squad.
