On December 19, Chelsea achieved a convincing victory over Shamrock Rovers, winning 5-1 in the sixth round of the UEFA Europa Conference League group stage for the 2024/25 season.
This win allowed the London team to complete the group stage of the tournament with a flawless record – six victories in six matches.
This year, Chelsea became the only team to accumulate 18 points in the tournament. They finished at the top of the Conference League group, securing their spot in the Round of 16.
Notably, this marks the first time in the club's history that Chelsea have won all six matches in the group stage of any European tournament.
Previously, Chelsea's best performance in a group stage of a European competition was in the 2018/19 Europa League, where the team recorded five wins and one draw.
Earlier, Chelsea had also triumphed over Kazakhstan's Astana with a score of 3-1 in the fifth round of the Conference League group stage.
Additionally, the Blues secured a 2-0 win against German team Heidenheim in the fourth round of the Conference League group stage.
