Premier League club Chelsea is reportedly interested in signing Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher and is willing to pay €42 million for the player, according to The Sun.
The 25-year-old Irish international is open to a move as he has been struggling for playing time at Liverpool, with the team primarily relying on Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker. It is worth noting that Kelleher prefers to remain in the Premier League, although he has attracted interest from two Serie A clubs, Juventus and Napoli.
During the 2024-2025 season, Kelleher has made five appearances in the Premier League, conceding four goals while keeping two clean sheets. He has also recorded two clean sheets in the UEFA Champions League. Kelleher's contract with Liverpool runs until the end of June 2026, and his market value is estimated at €20 million by Transfermarkt.
Interestingly, if Kelleher transfers to Chelsea, he would become the club's eleventh goalkeeper. Currently, the Blues roster includes Robert Sánchez, Filip Jörgensen, Marcus Bettinelli, Djordje Petrovic, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Mike Penders, Gabriel Slonina, Luke Campbell, Ted Curd, and Teddy Sharman-Lowe.
