Red Bull Leipzig and Croatia national football team defender Joško Gvardiol has become one of the main targets of Chelsea London in the winter transfer window.
According to sports journalist Nicolò Schira on Twitter, Chelsea are the favorites in the fight for the 20-year-old defender among European top clubs. Earlier it became known that Manchester United and Manchester City also want to sign the player.
The Croatian defender has been defending the colors of the Red Bulls since the summer of 2021. During the Bundesliga 2022/2023 season Gvardiol appeared on the pitch in 13 games, where he didn't have any productive actions. Besides, the player played all seven matches in the national team at the World Cup-2022 in Qatar, coming out in the starting lineup and never being substituted. Gvardiol at the World Cup-2022 has one goal in the match for third place against Morocco (2-1).
