Starting from the 2024/25 season, the draw for the Champions League will be carried out with the help of artificial intelligence, as reported by the British channel Sky Sports.
According to the source, organizers will utilize a hybrid method: artificial intelligence will select eight opponents for each club, which will then be manually chosen.
UEFA has decided to implement this method to save time. The draw of the Champions League using the old method would have taken between three and four hours and required around 900 balls.
From the next season, the number of teams in the Champions League will increase from 32 to 36. All participants will be in a single league table instead of groups of four teams as previously.
