Brighton midfielder Enock Mwepu ended his career at the age of 24.
The reason for retirement was the Zambian footballer's hereditary heart problems. If the player continued his professional career, he was at risk of fatal cardiovascular complications.
It is noted that Brighton will help Mwepu with his medical treatment and recovery.
The midfielder became an English club player last summer, moving from Austrian RB Salzburg for 23 million euros. Mwepu has played in six EPL games this season and has one assist.
