Best Scorer In Panama National Team History Luis Tejada Dies

On January 29, ESPN TV channel reported the death of Luis Tejada, the best scorer in the history of the Panamanian national football team, at the age of 41. The striker felt unwell during a match of the veterans.

During the match, the "Golden Tooth," as Tejada was nicknamed, lost consciousness and was urgently hospitalized, but died at the hospital.

Tejada played 107 matches for los Canaleros between 2001 and 2018, scoring 43 goals, which is a record for the Panama national team. That said, former forward Blas Perez has the same number of goals scored.

Tejada played for Panama's Tauro, Plaza Amador, Colombia's América de Cali and Millonarios, Mexico's Toluca and Veracruz and other clubs in his professional career.
