36-year-old French forward Karim Benzema, who plays for Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad, is contemplating the possibility of retiring at the end of the current season.
According to Relevo, Benzema has not made a final decision yet, but there are several factors leading him towards this option.
Despite this, the management of the Saudi club expects the Frenchman to serve his contract until the summer of 2026. It is known that Benzema has already reached an agreement with Real Madrid to work as a club ambassador after retiring as a player.
Benzema is a Ballon d'Or winner and was named UEFA Player of the Year in 2022. With los Blancos, the forward has won the Champions League five times and has been a Spanish league champion four times.
